King Of Kings
In our country, we don’t really have kings – except for the king of burgers – Burger King! 🙂 We elect presidents who are the most powerful leader in our country. In Jesus day, the top leader of the government was a king. Jesus is arrested and brought to the High Priest for secret questioning. He is then taken before the governor where they are seeking a death sentence. Jesus is being questioned by Pilate. Check this out…
36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.” 37 “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” (John 18:36-37 NIV)Jesus is not just a king – He is the King of all Kings. He is God’s One and ONLY Son. He came to earth to make a way for me to get back to my Creator. Jesus is the King of Truth. In fact He is the personification of truth. He is “the Way, the Truth and the Life”. There is no one like Him before or since. I want to live my life in honor and service to the King of all Kings – Jesus!
Pressing On! Dwayne
