Just Believe

There are times when the odds seem stacked against me and there is no way to come out on top. It requires some confidence and belief in my experience and abilities. There are times even when I believe in myself, I make mistakes and a deal doesn’t happen.  I realize that I can believe that the world is square and that doesn’t make it so. I also realize that when there is a ton of evidence pointing to something, the truth is usually right there whether I want to believe it or not.

When Jesus was close to the end of His time on earth, He is pouring into His disciples about Who He is and why He came. Eternal life was a concept that was hard for them to understand. It’s even hard for me to comprehend even though I’ve grown up hearing about it and believing in it. Jesus is also explaining to His disciples the relationship with God the Father – the Creator of all. Check this out….

¹⁰ Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. ¹¹ Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do.

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

I believe that God created the heavens and the earth.

I believe that God hears the cries from my heart.

I believe in Heaven.

I believe in hell.

I believe that God speaks to me through His Word.

I believe that God’s Spirit lives inside of me.

I believe that God leads me and directs my path.

I believe that God loves it when I lean in and simple trust Him.

I believe that God even helps me when my belief is struggling.

The Lord is the Anchor of my soul. When I read the words of Jesus, my heart is calmed. I’m trusting in Him all the days of my life left here on earth. I believe that this life is the preamble to the ultimate life – eternal life. I believe in Jesus and I believe all that He said and says.
