I Know What I Believe
I have been a Christian for many years. I know that my faith has grown over the years. I can remember going to church as a child and having what I thought was a strong faith. My faith has grown deeper and deeper over the years. I know that my faith has been tested on many occasions and will continue to be tested, but I must choose to hang on to Him through the toughest of tests and trials.
The king of Assyria had surrounded Jerusalem and was about to attack. He began this war of words seeking to destroy the will of Israel so that maybe they would surrender. Check this out…
14 The king says you should not let Hezekiah fool you, because he can’t save you. 15 Don’t let Hezekiah talk you into trusting the Lord by saying, ‘The Lord will surely save us. This city won’t be handed over to the king of Assyria.’ (Isaiah 36:14-15 NCV)
Hezekiah had instructed the people to not say anything. Instead, he would seek the Lord’s council. The odds of survival looked impossible, but Hezekiah knew what God was capable of.
This would be good for me to remember. I believe in God. I know He’s brought me through a lot of things. I must know that He can do the impossible. What’s impossible for me is possible for Him. In fact, there is nothing to hard, to complicated, to impossible for Him. I believe in God and His ability to walk with me through the toughest of circumstances. I’m standing on my faith in Him – today and every day.
Pressing On! Dwayne
