Help!

That word is probably one of my most frequent prayers to Lord. There are so many times that I need His help. It may be a short prayer, but it’s effective. He hears my prayer. He helps me and I am so thankful.

The Lord not only helps, but He delivers hope with His help.

The Psalmist gets frustrated with the wicked and the proud who seem to be doing ok. He pleads on behalf of the helpless, the orphans and the oppressed. Check this out….

¹⁷ Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless.
    Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them.
¹⁸ You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed,
    so mere people can no longer terrify them. (Psalm 10:17-18 NLT)

I pray when things are going great.

I pray when I feel helpless.

I pray because I always have hope in Jesus.

I pray because the Lord listens and acts.

Third Day released a song several years called “Cry Out To Jesus” that has blessed my soul on many occasions.

There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
And love for the broken heart
And there is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He’ll meet you wherever you are

He helps in suffering.

He helps in struggles.

He helps with grief.

He helps with parenting.

He helps with marriages.

He helps with business.

He helps with anything and everything I face.
