Grow
I generally love to grow and learn new ideas and concepts. I’ve tried to quit growing physically because I just grow out, because I’m all grown up! I love going to classes and conferences that pour into me. I love to learn from the lives and business models of others. Usually when I learn from others, I learn some things I should try and I learn some things that I would never try.
It’s hard to say who is most responsible for my most recent growth. There are so many people and they play many different roles in my life. I think that is the way it should be especially for believers. We can get a bit too impressed with the human being that is God’s servant when at the end of the day God’s servant is simply planting seeds in our hearts or watering the seeds already planted. (1 Corinthians 3:5-9 NIV)Sometimes growing can be painful, but it’s almost always necessary to reach new heights of meaning and understanding. I don’t want to ever quit growing and learning. I want to nurture the seeds of the truths and concepts others have helped plant in me. I want to be a strong follower of the Lord who is full of grace and truth. I want to grow and gain more insight into the Heart of God. I don’t think that growth should stop happening in me until I breathe my last breath. I’m going to keep learning and growing every day.
I can also be a “planter” and a “waterboy”. I can plant seeds of truth and ideas into the hearts and lives of others and see them grow. I can pour water on thirsty ideas and seeds that are already planted. As I grow, I know that I can be part of others growth as well. It’s a fulfilling experience and process!!
