Foolish
I have made my share of foolish mistakes throughout my life. I often wish I could get some “do-overs” to undo those mistakes. Unfortunately, I can’t change my past. I can only change today. My changes today immediately become my past and they will also affect my future.
I have always thought it was wise to learn from my mistakes. It’s even wiser to learn from the mistakes of others. I am older and wiser, but I’m still foolish sometimes. I trust in my abilities instead of trusting in the Lord.
David penned a phrase that I’ve learned since I was a kid. Check this out….
1 Only fools say in their hearts,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt, and their actions are evil;
not one of them does good!
2 The Lord looks down from heaven
on the entire human race;
he looks to see if anyone is truly wise,
if anyone seeks God. (Psalm 14:1-2 NLT)
I want to be a wise follower of Jesus.
I want my deep faith in God to be obvious before I ever speak a word.
I want my faith in God to be attractive to others.
I want my life to show evidence of my deep faith in God.
I believe in God.
I believe in Jesus Christ.
I believe in The Holy Spirit.
I believe that heaven is a place He has prepared for me.
I believe in eternal life.
What I believe about God shapes and molds how I live today.
Pressing On!
