Finish Line
My son Luke has run Cross Country the past couple of years. It’s an interesting sport despite the fact that it’s pretty much running. I watch him train and build up his body so that it’s prepared for the race. I also like to support him and go watch him run. It’s a little hard to see the whole race because they often run through the woods on trails that are pretty obscure. However, I’m always near the finish line where I can really cheer him on. Some of the runners are straining to finish while others are really pushing their body to do what they trained it to do. Paul really has inspired me over the years to never give up. Check this out….
Today I will put one foot in front of the other and live out my faith. I will not give up or give in to the evil one. I will keep pursuing the heart of God in spite of what others say, do or think.

I will press on when life is good and grand. I don’t EVER want to give up pursuing the heart of God as long as I live here on earth. I’m really looking forward to my heavenly home with Him.
This passage is the very basis for my daily journey and daily journal. Paul was a consistent, faithful follower of the Lord. I love his honesty and his deep sincere love for others. His writings point to the Savior and they are so practical and helpful to everyday people just like me!
