Famous
There was a time in my life when I was a lot younger that I wanted to become famous. I wanted to be a super star. I think I wanted to be a famous singer or something like that. I could be a profound and sought after speaker. I could also run for public office and become famous that way. I really wanted fame because I thought fortune was right behind. I now realize how grateful that I’m not famous. I can remain somewhat in obscurity and live my little life out in West Georgia. As I’ve grown in my faith, I now want to make the Lord famous. He needs to be on everyone’s “A” list. He should be famous for His Love and His Grace. Check this out…
1 May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us – 2 so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. 3 May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. 4 May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth. 5 May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. 6 The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us. 7 May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. (Psalm 67:1-7 NIV)
I wake up every day and I know that God blesses me. He provides for my family and me. He has blessed my business. He is present and active in my life and I’m so very grateful. I want others to know what a blessing and relief it is to trust Him. He wants me to continue to know Him and make Him known. I don’t want to be famous anymore. I want Him to be famous. I want His amazing love to be known by as many others as possible. It’s a blessing to have been introduced to the Lord at a young age and He’s walked with me through some really tough times. I can’t imagine life without the Lord.
