Exposed!

When I see a headline that says “Exposed”, I realize that someone or something was discovered that was hidden previously.  I don’t always apply this word to me because I don’t feel like I’ve done something that can be exposed. I read a passage of scripture this morning that made me look at this a bit different. Check this out….

¹² For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. ¹³ Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable. (Hebrews 4:12-13 NLT)

God’s Word exposes my innermost thoughts.

God’s Word exposes my innermost desires.

His Word cuts deep in my soul.

I’m so thankful for His Word that corrects, rebukes, teaches and exposes. I need all of this each day when I open up His Word and ask Him to speak to me.

I have lots to confess to Him.

I need lots of grace from Him.

I need lots of love from Him.

I need lots of mercy from Him.

I am accountable to Him for my life.

I am accountable to Him for my thoughts.

I am accountable to Him for my actions.
