Everywhere

There is no place I can go to get away from the Lord’s Presence. I’m certainly not saying that I want to. His Presence is everywhere I go. Even if I go to the space station, approximately 220 miles up into orbit, He is there. I’m actually feeling safe knowing that there is no place where I’m out of His reach. Check this out….

1 Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord from the heavens;


    praise him in the heights above.

2 Praise him, all his angels;


    praise him, all his heavenly hosts.

3 Praise him, sun and moon;


    praise him, all you shining stars.

4 Praise him, you highest heavens


    and you waters above the skies.

7 Praise the Lord from the earth,


    you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,

11 kings of the earth and all nations,


    you princes and all rulers on earth,

12 young men and women,


    old men and children.

13 Let them praise the name of the Lord,


    for his name alone is exalted;


    his splendor is above the earth and the heavens. (Psalm 148:1-4;7,11-13 NIV)

 

I think it’s a good idea to begin every day by giving thanks to the Lord for Who He is and What He’s doing in my life. I’m not at all worried about getting lost from His reach, but when bad things have happened to me, I have to confess that I’ve been a bit shaken. He is with me on the most beautiful, relaxing day by the ocean and He’s with me in the darkest cellar of my life. He is everywhere I go and everywhere I could possibly go.
