Depend On The Lord

I’ve tried to do things my own way and in my own strength. I’ve been successful some of the time operating like that. However, I’ve learned that in my journey with the Lord dependence on Him is fundamental and very basic. Even though it is simple and basic, it is very hard to be consistent. 1 Lord, I look upward to you,

       you who live in heaven.

 2 Slaves depend on their masters,

       and a female servant depends on her mistress.

    In the same way, we depend on the Lord our God;

       we wait for him to show us mercy. (Psalm 123:1-2 NCV)

I’m learning that depending on the Lord is not rocket science – it is really very simple… it is about trust. I know He is capable of supplying mercy. He is totally capable of being my Caretaker, my Provider, my Leader, my Redeemer. I can depend on Him when there’s no one else to depend upon.

I love the concept that when I learn to depend on Him, I can go to the deepend with Him!
