Creative
I don’t consider myself to be the most creative person in the room. I have learned over the years that “there is nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9). I have watched and learned from other creative people when it comes to work and life.
David was fleeing for his life because Saul wanted him dead. He stopped in and received help from the priest in the town of Nob. There he was able to pick up Goliath’s sword, the one he used on Goliath. He flees to Philistine country. Some of the leaders there were not happy to have him there. They perceived him as the enemy. Check this out….
12 David heard these comments and was very afraid of what King Achish of Gath might do to him. 13 So he pretended to be insane, scratching on doors and drooling down his beard. (1 Samuel 21:12-13 NLT)
I see David as creative and resourceful. I know from reading the history of David that the Lord was with him. I see the Lord giving David creative ideas for survival from those who want to harm him as well as food for his men who are with him.
This is not necessarily a deep thought, but I think God delights in creativity. After all He is the Creator of all that we see and all that we know. God created out of nothing. My creativity always requires use of something that God has already had a hand in making.
I want to be creative and resourceful as I live out my faith. I want others to see the deep faith that I have in God by the way I live, work and play. I’m open to creative outlets to do that. I can even use music, words on a page and simple conversations to speak about my love for the Lord.
Pressing On!
