Big Win
I sometimes wonder how my life will end on this earth. Will the Lord come back? Will I live a good long life? I realized after turning 50 that I was very likely past the half-way point. I now see lots of obituaries of people who are younger arriving in their eternal destination a bit early. There is part of me that is jealous of the early arrivers. There is part of me that realizes that it’s possible that the Lord has things for me to do yet.
I am not too stressed about the arrival because I’m aware of how this world will eventually end. I’m aware of the battle between good and evil that is going on and I’m on the correct side of that. Check this out…
14 Together they will go to war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will defeat them because he is Lord of all lords and King of all kings. And his called and chosen and faithful ones will be with him.” (Revelation 17:14 NLT)
The battles as well as the war look out of balance, but in the end, our God wins. He is Creator and Sustainer. He will get the victory over the enemy. I don’t think I’ve ever participated in a team where I absolutely knew, without a doubt, that we would win. I will continue to align myself with the King of Kings because He wins in every possibly scenario of the ending.
