Because

The story of Daniel is sensational and miraculous.  There are reasons he was such a remarkable man.

Because “he was trustworthy not lazy or dishonest”, he was plotted against by his colleagues in leadership under the king. Daniel was about to be put in charge of the whole kingdom. (Daniel 6:4 NCV)

Because “he went to pray in an upstairs room in his house, which had windows that opened toward Jerusalem,” he was in violation of a law that had just been written in order to trap Daniel. (Daniel 6:10 NCV)

Because “Daniel had trusted his God” the King was happy to have him lifted out of the lions den and they was not an injury of any kind found on Daniel. (Daniel 6:23 NCV)

25 Then King Darius wrote a letter to all people and all nations, to those who spoke every language in the world:

I wish you great peace and wealth.

26 I am making a new law for people in every part of my kingdom.

 All of you must fear and respect the God of Daniel.

Daniel’s God is the living God;


    he lives forever.


His kingdom will never be destroyed,


    and his rule will never end.

27  God rescues and saves people


    and does mighty miracles


    in heaven and on earth.


He is the one who saved Daniel


    from the power of the lions. (Daniel 6:25-27 NCV)

Daniel had a great impact on the leaders of his day of his faithful obedience to the Lord. He was faithful in his relationship with the Lord and the Lord gave him tremendous influence to others. Wow! I want to constantly be found faithful BECAUSE the Lord will be honored in my faithful obedience!
