Be
I am often busy doing instead of being.
I can do this. I can do that. I can go here. I can go there. (I’m sounding a bit like Dr. Zeus!)
Doing is busyness.
Being is presence.
As I read one of my favorite passages of scripture this morning, I reminded that we are called to be NOT called to do. Check this out…
19 For when I tried to keep the law, it condemned me. So I died to the law—I stopped trying to meet all its requirements—so that I might live for God. 20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. (Galatians 2:19-21 NLT)
I am called to live for God.
I am called to serve God.
He has forever changed me. He lives in me. When you see me, you should see Jesus in me. Dwayne died to self and is filled with Christ. I serve as a REALTOR because Jesus lives in me. A child of the King is who I am. I trust Him. I’m profoundly humbled by His Grace and His Mercy. I don’t deserve either, but yet I have them in abundance.
I am working more at being in His Presence than doing things to make Him notice. He notices a heart surrendered before Him in humility before He notices all that I’m doing for Him.
Pressing On!
