Applause
I love hearing applause. I like going to a college basketball game and being part of the cheering crowd. I also like going to a concert where the musicians on stage are rocking out on some of my favorite songs. The crowd gets into the music or the game…it’s a really fun atmosphere. Applause is affirmation and appreciation from the crowd to the people performing. The Sons of Korah seek to applaud God – an excellent idea that is also known as worship. Check this out….
1 Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. 2 For the Lord Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth. 5 God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets. 6 Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. 7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise. (Psalm 47:1-2; 5-7 NIV)
I love worshipping with a crowd of people that aren’t embarrassed to applaud God for what He has done and is doing in their lives. He is definitely worthy of my applause. He holds everything together. His Presence in me changes me and holds me together. He Created everything. He loves like no One else I know. He is full of Grace and Mercy. He is so worthy of my praise, worship – the applause of my heart!
