Anchor
I’m looking forward to getting my Pontoon Boat back on the lake this spring, summer and fall! It is a great way to relax and enjoy beautiful weather. I love boat riding on the lake. There have been times that we like to drop anchor and enjoy a picnic lunch or simply swim for a while. I have a couple of different types of anchors on board and when the wind is blowing sort of strong, the anchors simply won’t hold me in one place. The wind gets under the canopy of my boat and moves me across the lake, anchor, and all!
I came across a simple passage about the power and presence of Jesus and the Anchor that He is in my life. Check this out…
Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. (Hebrews 6:18b-19a NLT)
I have friends facing health crisis – He is the Anchor for the soul.
I have friends facing financial crisis – He is the Anchor for the soul.
I have friends who don’t know Jesus – He desires to be the Anchor for their soul.
I have been blown around by the wind of crisis in my professional life and my personal life. The same Anchor – Jesus is worthy of my trust. He walks with me through crisis, and He walks with me through joy. He walks with me through suffering, and He walks with me through healing.
His Presence in me anchors my soul in the Truth of His Word.
His Presence in me anchors my soul in the storms of life that come my way.
I’m so thankful for His rescue of me. His strength is beyond powerful to hold me steady when everything around me seems to be shaking. The Hope of the World is Jesus. The Truth of His Word is deep and strong.
Pressing On!
