Memorial Day
My Dad and Mom instilled in me a respect for our service men and women who have served in America’s armed forces and those who are serving today. They protect and defend the values that our country was built upon – Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness!
It’s a HUGE blessing to be an American. I don’t say this with arrogance and disdain for anyone from another country. The freedoms we enjoy are simply too much to number. These freedoms were NOT free – we have had to fight for them. I’m so very grateful for the men and women who serve to protect our freedom today and every day.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the One who gave His life that I might have eternal life forever and the abundant life now. God sent His Son Jesus to die in my place for my sin. I need every day to be a memorial day and be reminded that the life I live before God was not free, but it costs me nothing!
I don’t ever intend to forget to remember!
Pressing On! Dwayne
