Full View
I’ve enjoyed the panoramic setting on my phone. I can take full panoramic pictures and it will stitch them together into one super picture. When I had the opportunity to visit the Grand Canyon last year, this camera option was how I shot most of my photo’s because the view was much more encompassing of what I was actually seeing. There are times though when the camera simply can’t do the scene justice. There are things like the angle and the amount of light that can drastically affect the ability to capture the view with a camera.
The Proverb writer (presumed to be mostly King Solomon) spoke about the view of God. The Lord is able to see me from any angle and in any lighting situation. My life is in full view of Him. I may think I can keep secrets – but not from Him. Check this out….
1 My son, pay attention to my wisdom, turn your ear to my words of insight, 2 that you may maintain discretion and your lips may preserve knowledge. 21 For your ways are in full view of the Lord, and he examines all your paths. 22 The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast. 23 For lack of discipline they will die, led astray by their own great folly. (Proverbs 5:1-2; 21-23 NIV)
The Lord is looking out for my best interests. He is watching over me and He’s watching me. He wants my path to be straight and avoid the traps and trap doors that the enemy sets for me. Sin looks and feels good for a season, but the consequences do come and they are often very painful.
My life is in full view of the Lord. He knows every single thing I do. He knows my thoughts and motives. There are no secrets with Him.
I’ve enjoyed this show called “Person Of Interest” on TV. It shows that a lot of life is caught on video cameras that are “everywhere”. It is sort of spooky just how much data is kept on everyone, especially those of us who are “on-line”.
What does the view of my life look like from all angles? The Lord has had all of that covered since I was born. He knows me from the inside out and He still wants a relationship with me. He has a full view of my life and still loves me – that’s Grace!
