Thank You

Thank You Blue MarkerThese are two very simple words that bring a certain level of understanding and gratitude. I understand that someone helped me. I also have a heart of gratitude for the help that others give to me. There are people who thing they are “owed something” or that they “deserve to be helped”. I’m not much on helping people who are ungrateful of my help or demanding of my help. That level of arrogance pushes me sideways a bit. Asaph had a proper perspective of gratitude. Check this out…

1 God, we give thanks to you.

We give thanks because your Name is near.

People talk about the wonderful things you have done. (Psalm 75:1 NIV)

Every good gift comes from God. He is the Source of Everything good. He does not give bad gifts or bad advice. He is close by as I walk through uncharted roads of life. He is always providing for me. He is always protecting me. I have a deeply grateful heart for the things He does for me.

He gives me perspective on how to reach out to others…helping is something He specializes at. As I speak my gratitude to Him – it turns into praise for all the things He’s done. He is worthy of my praise and gratitude and it does my heart good to bless His Name.

Thank you Lord for saving my soul.
Thank you Lord for making me whole
Thank you Lord for giving to me.
Thy great salvation so rich and free!
