My Hope Is You

I hope things will get better. I hope that the hardships of life will dissipate. I hope, hope, hope that Lord will rescue me from me. I am sometimes my own worst enemy, but my hope is in the Lord. He is Creator and Sustainer. If I put my hope in anything or anyone else, I’m hopeless. If I put my trust in Him, I have good reason to hope. David penned this beautiful Psalm about hope. Check this out….

1 In you, Lord my God,


    I put my trust.

2 I trust in you;


    do not let me be put to shame,


    nor let my enemies triumph over me.

3 No one who hopes in you


    will ever be put to shame,


but shame will come on those


    who are treacherous without cause.

4 Show me your ways, Lord,


    teach me your paths.

5 Guide me in your truth and teach me,


    for you are God my Saviour,


    and my hope is in you all day long.

My hope is found in following the Lord. I believe His Word. I believe that He alone holds the keys to eternal life. I will trust in Him alone to guide my life and give me wisdom and discernment for the choices I face each day.
