Deliverer

I enjoy seeing the UPS man or the FEDX guy stopping by because they bring packages. Some of the packages are from Amazon.com or eBay. I love getting packages delivered to my door.  In a sense, the people who deliver my packages are “deliverers”.  The Lord is the Ultimate Deliverer. He loves. He protects. He saves. He rescues. He delivers. I love my journey through the Psalms as David and the other writers take me on a journey of perspective. I see the heart of God is the Psalms. He delivers me. Check this out…..

1 I love you, Lord, my strength.

2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;


    my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,


    my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

3 I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise,


    and I have been saved from my enemies.

19 He brought me out into a spacious place;


    he rescued me because he delighted in me.

30 As for God, his way is perfect:


    the Lord’s word is flawless;


    he shields all who take refuge in him.

31 For who is God besides the Lord?


    And who is the Rock except our God?

32 It is God who arms me with strength


    and keeps my way secure.

33 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer;


    he causes me to stand on the heights. (Psalm 18:1-3;19;30-33 NIV)

 

My Deliver is the Lord. He is Powerful and always ready to deliver me. He gives me strength when my strength is gone. He is Patient as I learn to trust. He is my Safety net when I fall. He is my Safe house –where I can hide from those who want to harm me. He teaches me. He trains me. He provides for me. He is my Deliver who saves me from the evil one. He also delivers me from me. I trust Him to know the path I should walk in.  He illuminates my way – He is my Deliverer!
