Game Changer!

I love this time of year when the “boys of fall” play football. I have 25 ESPN Channels (ok only 8 –lol) to watch just about any game that’s playing on a collegiate or professional level.  During the course of game, there may be a pivotal moment when the moment shifts and one team moves to score and they seem so energized and unstoppable.  The TV Announcers often pick a “play of the day” or “game changing play”.

In my reading of Isaiah, I’m reading along about how frustrated God is with His people, but then the Light shines!  Check this out…

  6 A child has been born to us;

       God has given a son to us.

       He will be responsible for leading the people.

    His name will be Wonderful Counselor, Powerful God,

       Father Who Lives Forever, Prince of Peace.

 7 Power and peace will be in his kingdom

       and will continue to grow forever.

    He will rule as king on David’s throne

       and over David’s kingdom.

    He will make it strong

       by ruling with justice and goodness

       from now on and forever.

    The Lord All-Powerful will do this

       because of his strong love for his people. (Isaiah 9:6-7 NCV)

 Wow! This is not just a “GAME CHANGER”; Jesus is a LIFE CHANGER!  The football games and the World Series games are simply that – a game.  Jesus changes the life outside the game.  He has given me such a different perspective on all that life offers and all that life contains.  He has become my reason for living. He brings hope and joy to the abundant life here on earth and prepares me for eternal life after this. I don’t understand all there is to know about this, but I believe His Word and I believe in Him!  Check out what Paul says…..

Jesus Christ has been a GAME CHANGER for many and I am one of those. His Presence offers peace, joy and hope like nothing else and no other person.  He lived up to His title and He completed what He came to do.  My journey will never be the same after encountering Him personally and surrendering my life to His Will and His Way.  Jesus has changed my “Life Game”!
