Wisdom Hs Benefits
I think wisdom is a continuing work in progress. I will describe wisdom as: “the quality of having experience, knowledge and good judgment; the quality of being wise.” I do believe for the most part, as I get older, I get wiser. I think life experiences alone can give me wisdom that a young inexperienced person doesn’t possess just yet. I want wisdom that comes from the Creator of it. Check this out….
1My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, 2 turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding— 3 indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, 4 and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, 5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. 7 He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless…. (Proverbs 2:1-7 NIV)
Wisdom is not hard to find. I think sometimes it might be hard to apply. It’s not always easy to hear advice and instruction from someone else wiser or more experienced than me. I would be wise to weigh that council carefully. I need to keep my ego in check when it comes to attaining wisdom. My ego can be a roadblock to wisdom since I “know it all anyway”. I want my heart to be teachable as long as I live. Check this out…
10 For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. 11 Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. (Proverbs 2:10-11 NIV)
I would love to be known as a person who lives my life walking in the wisdom that comes from God. I want to represent Him well. I want the whole of my life to benefit from the wisdom of God deep inside my heart and soul.
