Plans & Purposes

Project preparationI make plans every day. In fact I make plans what I’m doing tomorrow through the end of the month. I have made plans to go on vacation in June. In fact I’ve made lots of plans for the rest of this year! It is sometimes easy to make plans. Sometimes the plans I’ve made depend on other pieces falling into place. I could plan to go on a big trip and if something happened to my health situation, I would have to stay home. I’m learning to make plans and live in the Lord’s will for me. My plans are always subject to His plans. Check this out…

11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,

    the purposes of his heart through all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,

    the people he chose for his inheritance.
13 From heaven the Lord looks down

    and sees all mankind;
14 from his dwelling-place he watches

    all who live on earth –
15 he who forms the hearts of all,

    who considers everything they do. (Psalm 33:11-15 NIV)

The purpose and plan of the Lord involves me. He had changed my heart and my mindset. I’ve seen and tasted of His Wisdom and His Ways – they are always better than my thinking. My purpose and plan should always be built on His purpose and plan.

I know that The Lord cares about my schedule. He cares about my daily activity as well as my vacation plans. He cares about every facet of my life.  I need to be consistently cautious about making any plans without His blessing and approval. He still watches over my plans and He definitely wants to be involved in my plans. He knows my heart. He knows my thoughts. In fact since He knows all about me, why would I decide to do anything without His blessing on my plan?

Pressing On!
Dwayne
