No Worries

I try to use them pretty often so that they disarm people who might otherwise think I’m frustrated or upset. I really want those two words to be a deep part of who I am. I want to choose NOT to worry about anything, but to trust God with everything!  I really like the word that Peter gives us. Check this out…

5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,
“God opposes the proud

    but shows favor to the humble.”
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:5-7 NIV)

 

As I walk out my faith each day, I must fight the worries that can unsettle me and stress me out. I do want to show respect for those who are older and wiser than me even if I disagree with their position on a certain matter. I want to be humble and respectful to all. I want to be worry free in the midst of any crisis or struggle. I’m starting my day today casting all my worries and anxious thoughts on Him – He can certainly handle it!
