Lead Me On & On

Hands folded in prayer over open russian Holy Bible on black backgroundI’ve learned many times and in many ways over the years that a leader must learn to follow before He can learn to lead. I’ve learned that the Lord gives incredible wisdom and insight to anyone who will listen – a leader and/or follower.  I love the writings of King Solomon – a brilliant and wise man who penned some amazing truths cataloged as Proverbs. The writings reveal his current heart condition. Check this out…

1 In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water

that he channels towards all who please him.
2 A person may think their own ways are right,

but the Lord weighs the heart.
3 To do what is right and just

is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
21 Whoever pursues righteousness and love

    finds life, prosperity and honor.
30 There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan

that can succeed against the Lord.
31 The horse is made ready for the day of battle,

but victory rests with the Lord. (Proverbs 21:1-3, 21, 30-31 NIV)

I’m open to the Lord speaking into my heart and life at any moment He chooses. He will speak into me great insight and wisdom if I will listen.  He speaks into me through His Word. He speaks into me through His people. He speaks into me through circumstances.  I want the Lord’s wisdom and insight to find a channel through my heart.

I believe that the Lord will lead me and direct me in the biggest decisions I face all the way down to the simplest decision like what to wear. My role is to invite Him to lead then let Him lead me on and on.

Pressing On!
Dwayne
