I Don’t Know

Question and exclamation marksI can use this phrase quite often because there are many things I don’t know. I’m better off saying that I don’t know something then try to give some “hot air” answer. I am educated and experienced in a lot of areas, but there are still things that come up just about every day that I simply don’t have an answer or a solution for. Check this out…

5 As you do not know the path of the wind,
or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
the Maker of all things. (Ecclesiastes 11:5 NIV)

As I read the Word of God, I’m constantly reminded about how much I don’t know about all that the Lord does and all that He’s doing. I can’t quite comprehend how big He is. I don’t know why He does some things and doesn’t do others. I don’t understand accidents. I don’t understand people dying young. I don’t have answers on a lot of things that the Lord does or doesn’t do. I do know this much: He is the Creator of Heaven and Earth. He loved me (and the world) enough to make a way for the forgiveness of my sin. His Son became the ultimate sacrifice for sin. I know that I can trust His heart even when I can’t understand His Will or His Way. I will not quit following Him just because I don’t know something.

Pressing On!
