“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”

I love being here because that is where ever I am. I will often text Tina when I’m meeting her somewhere and let her know that I’ve arrived. Here is present tense and current. If I’m somewhere else I’m not here. Ok – enough of the play on words. I love this last chapter of Matthew because Jesus conquers death and He promises to be here with me. Check this out….

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:16-20 NIV)

It doesn’t matter where I am – He will be with me. He has walked with me through some incredible joy-filled celebrations and He has walked/carried me through some of the most painful and difficult experiences of my life. He is here and that is all I need to know. He is here and that is all that matters.

My role is to let others know what a difference He’s made in my life by His Presence. His Presence is consistent. He is faithful even when I’m unfaithful. He will never leave me or let go of me. I’m so thankful for here and now and His Presence right here!

Pressing On!
Dwayne
