Heart Work
I’m trying to put into words just how my heart really works. I know about the physical part with the boundaries of blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.… I’m trying to articulate just how I take care of my heart – my soul, my emotional centerpiece. My love for my family is settled there My spiritual journey resides there. My character comes out of there. My feelings an emotions reside there.

7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. 8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. (Psalm 16:7-8 NIV)
It is settled – the Lord has free reign on my heart. He counsels my heart. He speaks into me via my heart. He uses my heart to direct my head. I feel wiser and more competent when my heart is right before the Lord. He prompts my heart to acts of kindness. He prompts my heart to love. He prompts my heart in business decisions.
His presence in me means I have a heart and it’s warm, approachable and growing in my love for Him.
