Embrace Wisdom

Senior Man - WisdomTo embrace something is to accept or support the belief, theory or change willingly and enthusiastically is at the heart of the word embrace. To embrace wisdom is the champion it…pursue it…study it…go for it daily. I believe that the pursuit of wisdom is a never-ending pursuit. I also believe that pursuit of God’s heart is also a never-ending pursuit. Check this out….

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,

    but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
8 Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction

    and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
9 They are a garland to grace your head

    and a chain to adorn your neck. (Proverbs 1:7-9 NIV)

I can’t imagine what my life would look like if I were not pursuing the Lord and the wisdom He gives. He is a NEVER ENDING Supply of Wisdom and Discernment. I look to His Word to give me insight into my life and journey. The journey with Him will one day fold into a destination of eternity. I would be wise to make fear and respect of the Lord a part of my daily pursuit.

The writer of the Proverbs, (mostly by King Solomon) were delivered for the sake of wisdom and discernment. The purpose of Proverbs are….

2 for gaining wisdom and instruction;

    for understanding words of insight;
3 for receiving instruction in prudent behavior,

    doing what is right and just and fair;
4 for giving prudence to those who are simple,
    knowledge and discretion to the young—
5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,

    and let the discerning get guidance—
6 for understanding proverbs and parables,

    the sayings and riddles of the wise (Proverbs 1:2-6 NIV)

I want to continue my daily pursuit of the Lord’s Heart and His Way for me. I want to have the courage to walk in His Wisdom every day.

Pressing On!
Dwayne
