Careful Who You Trust

Trust with blue markerI have learned over the years that the government will let me down. They will do some things that I just can’t support or agree with. I’ve also learned that people in general will let me down. Some people will disappoint me and frustrate me. There have been times that I’ve been hurt deeply by people I trusted completely. I’m convinced that the only Person I can really trust is the Lord. He speaks to me through His Word and He speaks into my life through others. He is the One in charge of my life and my world. Check this out…

5 Those who trusted in Cush and boasted in Egypt will be dismayed and put to shame. 6 In that day the people who live on this coast will say, “See what has happened to those we relied on, those we fled to for help and deliverance from the king of Assyria! How then can we escape?”’ (Isaiah 20:5-6 NIV)

I have learned not to trust in possessions.

I have learned not to trust in money.

I have learned not to trust all people.

My trust is in the Lord, the Maker and Sustainer of my life and my world. He alone is worthy of my trust. He will not change His mind. He will not choose a different path. He is consistent in character. He is a wealth of wisdom. He is particularly patient. He is eternally good and has an impeccable reputation. I am blessed to be considered His kid.

I totally trust the Lord!

Pressing On!
Dwayne
