Access 2

Man praying with the BibleThere are similar words that I think of when I think of access. I think of words like available & opportunity. Because of the Internet, I have access to seemingly unlimited supply of information on just about any subject known to mankind. Having access to that depth of information is really important.

I also have access to the life-giving Word of God. The Word teaches me about the One Who gives eternal life. The Word gives me access to directions on how to live my life. I am blessed with access to most amazing literary work on the planet. The Word of God has given me access to the Lord Himself. Check this out….

Blessed is the one

who does not walk in step with the wicked

or stand in the way that sinners take

or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,

and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,

which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—

whatever they do prospers. (Psalm 1:1-3 NIV)

It’s one thing to have access and it’s another thing altogether to use that access. I have the Word available to me every day. If I don’t approach the Word to study it and know, then it’s on me for not knowing it.

I love the fact that access to the Word gives me access to life giving water and spiritual nutrients that only the Word supplies. My life will bear fruit when I’m studying and meditating on the Word of God. I believe that I will prosper if I’m grounded in the Word of God. My definition of “prosper” comes from The Word of God too!

I’m so thankful for the living and life giving Word of God.

Pressing On!
Dwayne
