Observation
I enjoy having conversations with wise people. I’ve learned that they ask a lot of really good questions. They do not like to “hear themselves talk”. They choose their words carefully. Occasionally I’ve met a person who is wise in certain areas, but really struggling in other areas of life. I think the pursuit of wisdom in a worthy pursuit. I want to keep learning and growing in my depth of understanding of God and people whom He created.
My word for this year is serve. I want to serve people by helping them purchase or sell real estate. It can be a complicated and challenging process. I believe that if I serve with honor, honesty, integrity, time and attention then I will continue to experience success in this service profession. I’ve learned and grown since studying the work of Seth Godin, Andy Andrews, Dave Ramsey, Andy Stanley, Brian Buffiniand most recently, Donald Miller. These men are challenging me and stretching me for sure. The Lord has spoken into my heart through the leadership
In my journey through Ecclesiastes, Solomon makes some observations about wisdom and its pursuit. Check this out….
1 How wonderful to be wise,
to analyze and interpret things.
Wisdom lights up a person’s face,
softening its harshness.
16 In my search for wisdom and in my observation of people’s burdens here on earth, I discovered that there is ceaseless activity, day and night. 17 I realized that no one can discover everything God is doing under the sun. Not even the wisest people discover everything, no matter what they claim. (Ecclesiastes 8:1,16-17 NLT)
I believe wisdom is a life-long pursuit.
I believe wisdom comes from God.
I believe wisdom comes from knowledge.
I believe wisdom comes from personal experience.
I believe wisdom come from observation of other’s experiences.
I believe that in my life-long pursuit of God, that my mind and my heart can’t contain all of Who He is and all that He is doing on this earth. I’m not sure I can comprehend all the multi-tasking and “behind the scenes” work He’s doing just in my own life. I’m so thankful for His Presence in my life as I pursue His Wisdom with the rest of my life.
Pressing On!
