Bold Prayer
I actually pray pretty often. I pray about the simplest things as well as the most complex things as well. I pray about conversations. I pray about what to say when I have nothing. I also try hard to listen to the Lord when He answers back by the prompting or nudging of His Spirit in me. He doesn’t always shout things out, He sometimes whispers. I want to become even more bold in my prayers. I’ve prayed for kids who are dying with cancer to be healed. I’ve prayed for people on death’s bed to have their arrival time in heaven moved up. I sometimes think I’ve prayed bold prayers but then I come across some of David’s bold prayers. Check this out….
8 Guard me as you would guard your own eyes.
Hide me in the shadow of your wings.
9 Protect me from wicked people who attack me,
from murderous enemies who surround me.
13 Arise, O Lord!
Stand against them, and bring them to their knees!
Rescue me from the wicked with your sword!
14 By the power of your hand, O Lord,
destroy those who look to this world for their reward.
But satisfy the hunger of your treasured ones.
May their children have plenty,
leaving an inheritance for their descendants.
15 Because I am righteous, I will see you.
When I awake, I will see you face to face and be satisfied. (Psalm 17:8-9,13-15 NLT)
I want to continue to pray for my family. I want to keep building a strong marriage and a heritage of faith.
I want to continue to pray for my church. I want to lead and be part of a God-honoring group of believers who are walking out their faith daily. Broken people helping broken people.
I want to continue to pray for my business to grow. I want people I do business with to know that my heart belongs to the Lord, not by what I say, but by how I conduct my business.
I want to grow in my bold praying and seeking the direction of God upon my heart.
Pressing On!
