Wicked Leadership

I think about leadership a lot. I’ve had the privilege to see some people who were incredible leaders in their company, community & family. Over the years there have been some ruthless and wicked leaders in other countries. Some killed their citizens who did not agree with them. Some wicked leaders tried to wipe out an entire race of people.

When Gideon died, he left behind many sons. One of his sons was wicked and killed off all the rest, but one escaped. His son Abimelek was a wicked man who set himself up as king. After much ruthless behavior, He was taken out. Check this out…

It blows my mind trying to understand the way wicked people think. I sometimes wonder IF they are thinking. I try to count the costs and anticipate the outcome of decisions that I face. It seems like these wicked leaders are “flying by the seat of their pants” in a position of great power.

I don’t always understand why wicked leaders get to be in that position at all. I wish the Lord would take them out and replace them. I sometimes don’t get why Hitler was allowed to do the damage he did before his death. I don’t understand Ida Amin and why he did what he did. I just know that the standard to which I hold all leadership is the Word of God. I look for honor, honesty, integrity, genuineness, and love. I do my best to see things that reveal their heart. It’s really hard to look past the policies of a leader that I might disagree with to see if their heart is good. I’m thankful that the Lord and many other good people are on the lookout for wicked leadership to protect us from them.
