Treasured Possession

bullions and piggy bank in a security safeI have a few things that are really meaningful to me. I’ve often wondered what would I grab if my house were on fire and I knew my family was safe – what is my most treasured possession? I still don’t know the answer. I am not very sentimental about things or possessions. I was reminded this morning of what the main thing while I’m here on earth. Check this out…

16 Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name.

17 ‘On the day when I act,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him. 18 And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not. (Malachi 3:16-18 NIV)

I want to be the Lord’s treasured possession. I want Him to be my most treasured possession. As I put my thoughts about His Word on paper, I can look back and see my journey. There were mountaintops and there were valleys, but He remains constant and faithful through all the ups and downs of my life. I want to keep holding on to Him. I want to continue to honor Him with my life. I really want my family to follow Him fully and be part of His treasured possession. There’s no better place to be than in His Presence.

Pressing On!
