Presence Pushes Out Worry

I’ve heard it said that worry is like a rocking chair; it will give you something to do, but it will get you nowhere.  I’ve been known to worry about stuff. I’ve been known to worry about people. I’ve even reworded worry to make me feel better about it.  I often use the words: “I’m concerned about this…. or that….  It really is me worrying under different verbiage.  I was reminded again this morning that God has got whatever I’m stressed out about.  Check this out….

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”

 10 So don’t worry, because I am with you.

    Don’t be afraid, because I am your God.

I will make you strong and will help you;

    I will support you with my right hand that saves you. (Isaiah 41:10 NCV)

 When I’m in the presence of the Lord, worry is not necessary. He’s certainly not worried. His presence can calm my spirit immediately. God gives strength to the weary worrier. He chases out fear from among us. He is so strong and so present – I have nothing to worry over or worry about. I want to be in His Presence and trust Him with all my worries and concerns. He’s big enough and strong enough to handle all of them.
