Life-Long Learning

I discovered several years ago that I love learning. I love being taught practical ideas and concepts that are useful to me. I love hearing about history and some of the important events and the people who acted with such courage. Learning inspires and instructs me.  I’m actually at a Realtor Convention where I’m about to learn some new ideas that can sharpen me as a REALTOR.  Solomon speaks to this. Check this out…

Anyone who loves learning accepts correction,
but a person who hates being corrected is stupid. (Proverbs 12:1 NCV)

In May 2010, I became part of a new real estate company formed from a merger of two realty companies. Metro West Realty was formed in 2010. During the merger process, it became obvious that I should manage the new company. One of the companies that merged had been around for years and years. The company I was part of was around 10 years old.  One of my partners has been in real estate for over 40 years!  I have absolutely loved learning from him. He is wise and very experienced. He actually taught for years as well.

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”

I also want to be a life-long learner in whatever field of work I’m in. It feels like learning keeps me younger and certainly more energized.

I need to stop writing now and get to my first class of the convention!

Pressing On!
Dwayne
