Jesus -Son of God

Christmas NativityI love this day – it’s the day we celebrate Jesus’ birth! He came to earth as a vulnerable little baby. God was wearing diapers! He was dependent on His young earthly Mom to take care of Him. He came to earth on a mission. I love the gift of Grace and Mercy that He brought to me. I could never measure up to the law of the Old Testament of the law of churches in this country. The Lord knew that I could never measure up – no one can except Jesus. He became the perfect sacrifice for sin. Paul was explaining to the church at Colossi just how important the supremacy of Jesus is. Check this out…

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. (Colossians 1:15-20 NIV)

I’m a receiver of a gift that I could never match up and I certainly don’t deserve a gift like that. I could never repay the giver EXCEPT through worship. He gave me life and I give Him my heart in worship and obedience. I’m so glad He came. I’m so thankful for His LOVE and His GRACE!

This song says it very well:  http://youtu.be/Yj_s9_45QpI (“Jesus Son of God” by Chris Tomlin & Christy Nockles)
