I Don’t Know

There are many things that I know now that I didn’t know before. I’ve learned why my parents said “no” at times growing up to some of my silly questions. I also know that there is a direct correlation between living out my faith in front of my children versus just telling them how to live by faith. One thing I know, is that “values are caught, NOT taught.”  In other words, what I do speaks so loudly, that my kids can’t hear what I’m saying.

With all that said, there are so many things I don’t know. I don’t know where the wind come from. I don’t know why bad things happen to good people. I don’t know what makes women tick! (I had to throw that in J since I’m coming clean and confessing what I don’t know!) I don’t know lots of math concepts. I don’t know how God does the stuff He does.  Solomon was in a place of “I Don’t Know” as well. Check this out…

 1 Invest what you have,

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”

because after a while you will get a return.
2 Invest what you have in several different businesses,
because you don’t know what disasters might happen.
3 If clouds are full of rain,
they will shower on the earth.
A tree can fall to the north or south,
but it will stay where it falls.
4 Those who wait for perfect weather
       will never plant seeds;
those who look at every cloud
       will never harvest crops.
5 You don’t know where the wind will blow,
and you don’t know how a baby grows inside the mother.
In the same way, you don’t know what God is doing,
       or how he created everything.
6 Plant early in the morning,
       and work until evening,
because you don’t know if this or that will succeed.
They might both do well. (Ecclesiastes 11:1-6 NCV)

When text messaging became so popular “idk” was extremely popular with young people when being interrogated by their parents via text!  If you really don’t know something then it’s not just and easy way out; it’s the truth.  I don’t’ want to spend all my time saying, I don’t know. I need to do some research and find answers and solutions to “idk”.

I know that God created the earth and all that we see and touch. Even this computer keyboard I’m typing on came from raw materials that was made by God. I’m still amazed at the miracle of childbirth and I know that God is the Giver of Life! I don’t know how seeds grow, but I know that God makes it happen.  I know that God’s heart is for His creation. He even sacrificed His one and only Son so that I could be restored to fellowship with Him.  I don’t know the future, but God knows.  I don’t have to know everything, but I know the One Who does!

Pressing On!
Dwayne
