His Life

78dce9ff-d3f7-420a-b85a-bd27a77f191bI sometimes think that this is my life, but it’s really not mine. There is so much in my life that I can’t control and I can’t let the fear of what could happen rob me of living my life to the fullest. I am reminded in His Word that He is in charge of everything, I’m simply a manager of what the Lord has blessed me with.

John the Baptist was baptizing people as they repented of their sins. He called out some of the religious leaders who were too proud to repent. Check this out…

Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. Don’t just say to each other, ‘We’re safe, for we are descendants of Abraham.’ That means nothing, for I tell you, God can create children of Abraham from these very stones. 10 Even now the ax of God’s judgment is poised, ready to sever the roots of the trees. Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit will be chopped down and thrown into the fire. (Matthew 3:8-10 NLT)

My friend and Pastor, Shannon Lovelady said yesterday that “when Jesus has the proper place in my heart, He displaces everything else in my life.” That is a strong and powerful thought. He is either, Lord of all or NOT Lord at all.  I think that this is a daily decision, NOT just another resolution. This is a life decision to surrender my life to Him. I want to know Him more and I want Him to have the proper place in my life every day. His Life should be obvious in my life.

Pressing On!
